The Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) Organization cautioned Archbishop of Colombo His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith of a possible threat on the Catholic community of the country way back in 2017, BBS General Secretary Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera said.
The warning was made considering the development of unusual incidents that took place in several areas including Negombo, he said.
Thera made the above remarks while participating in a television program on a state-owned television channel.
Ven. Gnanasara Thera said he wanted to meet all the fathers in charge of the Catholic missions from Negombo to Peliyagoda in order to apprise all of them of this threat, but the Archbishop did not give priority to that matter at that time.
