Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has called on Hirunika Premachandra, a mother of three, to refrain from posting insulting photographs.
The Prime Minister also said that a civilized society should not insult motherhood.
Addressing social media activists as well as media users, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said that the concept of motherhood should be kept above all else. The Prime Minister is commenting on the insulting circulation of several photographs of Hirunika Premachandra taken during the protest near the residence of the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
The Prime Minister further stated that since Hirunika Premachandra came to his house to protest for a political issue, it should be resolved through a relevant ideology and that action should not be taken to insult the motherhood of Hirunika Premachandra.
