The national event to mark the ‘International Women’s Day 2022’ was held with the Participation of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and his wife Shiranthi Rajapaksa at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre yesterday under the theme “Rataki, Deyaki, Lovaki Eya”. An exhibition and sale of products by women entrepreneurs was held parallel to the event. Pre-school teachers and beauticians were offered scholarships in coordination with British Universities. State Minister Piyal Nishantha was also present.
