Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday visited the Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy to receive the blessings of the sacred tooth relic. The PM was welcomed by Diyawadana Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela Bandara. The PM also called on Malwathu Chapter Chief Prelate Most Ven Thibbatuwawe Sri Siddhartha Sumangala Mahanayake Thera. The Mahanayake Thera presented a Buddha Statue to the PM as a gift.
