JVP Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake said on May Day that Samagi Jana Balavegaya (SJB) Leader Sajith Premadasa who has allegedly embezzled billions of rupees from the Central Cultural Fund (CCF) is incapable in putting the country on the right track.
He asked whether Sajith Premadsa is capable of ending corruption and robbery when he has been allegedly involved in embezzling State funds.
“The present Government divulged this robbery very recently. But we were able to make this revelation in 2019”, he said.
Dissanayke added that the Jathika Jana Balawegaya will form a Government which can bring rogues in the present and past Governments to book.
“Then only people will become confident in the Government”, he said
“If such a Government is formed in the country, farmers will work tirelessly for the country and expatriate workers will send more remittances to the country without any hesitation.
Dissanayake added that in such an environment, the fishermen and Government servants will show an unprecedented enthusiasm in carrying out their duties expected by the country.
He said that the country will unite and all will work for the betterment of the country with much vigour enthusiasm.
The JVP Leader said that neither an Interim Government nor an All Party Government can end the crisis that the country faces at present.
“A people-friendly Government can solve this crisis. We have developed a number of plans to achieve this objective with contributions from all walks of society,” Dissanayake said.
